Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao faced U.S. boxer Timothy Bradley Jr. during the official weigh-in at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday, June 8, 2012.

The Pacquiao versus Bradley bout will be held on Saturday, June 9 (Sunday in Manila).

Pacquiao will be defending his WBO welterweight title against the undefeated Bradley.

Both boxers flexes their muscles and showed that they are in good condition while on the scales.

SmartGlass App: Microsoft Unveils XBox Smart Glass Ahead of E3 (Video)

XBox SmartGlass application was unveiled by Microsoft on Monday, June 4, 2012. The presentation of the SmartGlass was made ahead of the 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).

A C/NET report said that Microsoft’s SmartGlass is a new multiscreen entertainment platform that lets users beam content from any mobile devices to an Xbox 360.

According to Microsoft, SmartGlass will is a cross-platform application that will work on Windows, Windows Phone, Xbox 360, Android and iOS.

Class Suspension Guidelines: Under Executive Order 66 and DepEd Order 43

To avoid any confusion when there is a weather disturbance, Philippine President Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III has signed Executive Order 66 last January 9 that sets the guidelines on the suspension of classes.

President Aquino’s guidelines contained in the Department of Education Order 43 indicates that all classes in the following levels, both public and private, will be automatically suspended if the storm signal warning raised is:

Signal No. 1 – Pre-school level
Signal No. 2 – Pre-school, elementary and secondary levels
Signal No. 3 – Pre-school, elementary, secondary and tertiary levels

The DepEd order required that announcements of the cancellation or suspension of classes be made not later than 4:30 a.m. of the same day or not later than 11 a.m. for classes and work in the afternoon.

Edith Wilma Connor was certified as the “World’s Oldest Female Bodybuilder” by the Guinness World Records last May 10, 2012.

Connor, a 77-year-old grandmother, has three sons, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She won first place at the Grand Masters competition in Las Vegas when she was 60-years-old.

The oldest female bodybuilder got actively involved in weights after winning her first bodybuilding event. Connor revealed that winning the Guinness World Record title made her bodybuilding activity “a lot of fun and I relish the attention [my] unusual hobby-age combination attracts.”

San Antonio Spurs Beats OKC Thunder for 9th Straight NBA Playoff Game Win

The San Antonio Spurs rallied to take game 1 of the 2012 NBA Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder, 101-98. It was the Spurs’ 19th straight win.

The Spurs matched the fourth-longest streak in NBA history, and with one more will become just the fourth team to surpass 20.

Manu Ginobili scored 26 points as the Spurs denied a near Thunder upset. Tim Duncan had 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Tony Parker added 18 points.

Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 27 points. Russell Westbrook had 17.

After being held to just 16 third-quarter points, San Antonio scored 39 in the fourth.

Harden lost his matchup with Ginobili, the 2008 Sixth Man of the Year winner. Harden finished with 19 points on 7-of-17 shooting but missed nine of his first 12 shots.

Game 2 is Tuesday night at the AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX.
