Timothy Bradley won over Manny Pacquiao via split-decision on Saturday night, June 9, 2012.

The fight judges scored the fight 115-113 for Pacquiao, 115-113 for Bradley, 115-113 also for Bradley.

The fight however ended in a controversy as boxing analysts scored the fight in favor of Pacquiao.

Tim Dahlberg of the Associated Press and Steve Carp of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Dan Rafael of ESPN had it 118-110 for Pacquiao. HBO’s Harold Lederman had it 119-109, or 11 rounds to one, for Pacquiao.

Pacquiao reportedly landed 94 more punches than Bradley according to CompuBox.

Bradley stays unbeated with 29-0 record, while eight-time world champion Manny Pacquiao went down with a 54-4-2 record.

The complete undercard results of Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley June 9, 2012 bout ended with five knockdowns and two unanimous decisions.

The Jorge Arce vs. Jesus Rojas bout ended in a no contest fight due to an unintentional low blow by Rojas at the 0:09 mark of the second round.

The final undercard bout of the night resulted into a Randall Bailey victory over Mike Jones by KO (referee stoppage) at 2:52 of round 11.

Jesse Hart of Philadelphia won by TKO over Manuel Eastman in the first fight of the night. It was Hart‘s first professional bout of his boxing career. Hart reportedly ended the bout in just 33 seconds into the first round.

Guillermo Rigondeaux successfully defended his WBA super bantamweight belt with a fifth round TKO against Teon Kennedy. The 31-year-old Rigondeaux kept his record clean at 10-0, 8 of them coming via knockout. Rigondeaux is reportedly a two-time Olympic gold medalist from Cuba before defecting and trains in Miami.

The Philippines Ernie Sanchez took a unanimous-decision win over Wilton Hilarioof St. Louis Park, Minn. The eight round bout was scored by one judge 79-73, and the other two had it 78-74 all for Sanchez.

Mikael Zewski scored a knockout win against John Ryan Grimaldo at 0:59 of the third round.

Andrew Ruiz protected his unbeaten record via unanimous-decision victory against Taylor Larson in a junior welterweight bout. The judges scored the bout, at a catchweight of 143 pounds, all for Ruiz: 39-36, 40-35 and 39-36.

Boxing promoter Bob Arum made arrangements to let Manny Pacquiao watch the 2012 NBA playoffs Game 7 between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat on Saturday, June 9 (Sunday in Manila) before facing Timothy Bradley at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pacquiao, who is a player and avid fan of basketball, is reportedly a Celtics fan.

According to Arum, “We will not begin the Pacquiao –Bradley main event fight until the Celtics and the Heat finish their playoff game.” The boxing promoter added that delaying the Pacquiao versus Bradley bout will enable “Manny, the Heat, the Celtics, and sports fans watching the basketball game won’t have to make a choice between events.”

Arum clarified that the undercard fights will push through as earlier scheduled.

Kim Kardashian gave Kanye West a rare Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 birthday gift. The car is reportedly worth $750,000.

Kanye, who turns 35 on Friday, is currently in Europe for “Watch the Throne” tour with Jay-Z.

Kim and Kanye started dating in spring this year and was seen together in several occasions that include the Cannes Film Festival.

Pacquiao vs Bradley Live Face-off at Weigh-in

A day before the Manny Pacquiao versus Timothy Bradley fight night, the two boxers faced-off during the weigh-in at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The weigh-in by eight-time division champion Pacquiao and undefeated Timothy Bradley gave a preview of what to expect during the official weigh-in Saturday.

Pacquiao will be at his heaviest fight as he tipped the scales at exactly 147 lbs. Bradley came in weighing a pound lighter at 146.

The heavily favored Pacquiao will defend his WBO welterweight championship against Bradley.

Coach Freddie Roach predicted a knockout by Pacquiao while, Bradley is looking at the possibility of a major upset and maintain his clean record.
