MacBook Pro 2011 models by Apple Inc. was recently upgraded with faster processor and more storage capacity, as reported by international tech sites on Tuesday, October 25, 2011. MacBook Pro review suggests that its the right time to grab one.

Apple‘s 13″ MacBook Pro model is now powered by a 2.4GHz dual-core chip standard processor and 500GB HDD. The 13″ MacBook Pro is now on sale for $1199. An upgrade to a 2.8GHz chip and 750GB hard drive will cost $1499.

The 15″ MacBook Pro model was beefed up with a 2.2GHz quad-core i7 processor and 500GB hard drive that sells for $1799. Upgrading the processor to 2.4GHz and 750GB of storage will increase the price to $2199.

The AMD powered 17″ MacBook Pro now has a 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 and 750GB hard drive has a tag price of $2499.

The 15″ and 17″ models were both upgraded to an AMD graphics.

All MacBook Pro models are powered by the latest Apple operating system, OS X Lion. According to Apple, OS X Lion has over 250 new features that include Multi-Touch gestures, Mission Control, full-screen apps, and Launchpad. Thunderbolt technology and FaceTime HD camera is also available in all MacBook Pro units.

iPhone Users of China Mobile, World’s Largest Mobile Carrier by Subscribers, Reaches 10 Million

China MobileThe number of iPhone users of China Mobile, world’s largest mobile carrier based on the number of subscribers, has now reached 10 million, according to an announcement by its company Chairman on Monday, October 25, 2011.

The popularity of iPhone has grown significantly over the years since the release of the original iPhone in June 29, 2007 up to the iPhone 4S that features the latest mobile operating system iOS 5.

Wang Jianzhou, China Mobile Chairman, also revealed that they are discussing with Apple the details of making iPhone compatible with China Mobile‘s TD-LTE standard.

Several meetings by China Mobile with Steve Jobs, Apple Inc.‘s co-founder and former CEO, were made previously to discuss the introduction of an iPhone based on its own local network standard.

China Mobile is developing its next-generation TD-LTE mobile network technology and will be out for commercial trials next year in selected cities.

At the end of September, China Mobile increased its subscribers based to over 630 million, most of which are low-end users who only make calls and send text messages.

Steve Jobs Memorial Service VideoA Steve Jobs memorial service video by Apple employees, celebrating the life of the co-founder of the California based company, held last week outside its California headquarters was made available for public viewing through its official website on Sunday, October 23, 2011.

The intensely private memorial service for Jobs was held in the morning of Wednesday, October 19 and was filmed live at the Apple campus in Cupertino, California. The memorial service organizers shutdown the public and media reporters during the special event.

Jobs died at the age of 56 on October 5, a day after the launch of iPhone 4S.

According to Apple’s official website, the Steve Jobs Memorial Service streaming video requires Safari 4 or 5 on Mac OS X Snow Leopard or Lion, Safari on iOS 3 or later, or QuickTime 7 on Windows.

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Grand Winner Maasinhon Trio Beats the Odds

Maasinhon Trio became the third Grand Winner of Pilipinas Got Talent after beating 11 other Grand Finalists during the PGT Season 3 showdown last Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Ynares Stadium in Antipolo City. The Visayan trio was declared PGT Season 3 Grand Champion on Sunday, October 23, after garnering the most number of text votes among the 12 Grand Finalists.MAASINHON TRIO

The Visayan trio from Maasin, Southern Leyte composed of Andrew Sanchez who works as a warehouse chief, Bonifacio Salubre a Fire Officer and Licinio Lolo a supply officer, won the P2-million grand prize. Bringas Brothers of Davao del Sur and Khalil Joseph Ramos of Paranaque City both received P100,000 for being this year’s runner-up. The other nine grand finalists each received P50,000.

The Maasinhon Trio sang the Basil Valdez song “Nais Ko” during the Grand Finalists showdown last Saturday.

Breaking the tradition of the previous PGT season’s grand finals, the runners-up were not announced anymore, instead, the judges went straight in announcing the PGT Grand Winner. The PGT judges were Freddie M. Garcia, Kris Aquino and Ai ai de las Alas. PGT Season 3 was hosted by Billy Crawford and Luis Manzano.

Maasinhon Trio definitely beat the odds by winning over early netizens favorites that include El Gamma Penumbra from Tanauan City, Batangas, Synergy of Negros Occidental, and Muriel Lomadilla of Cebu City. The win by Maasinhon Trio, as expected, received mixed reactions from netizens and televiewers as expressed on messages in social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook.

The rest of the grand finalists are Sandugo Band, Lucky Twins, Loverkada Kids, Twin Divas, Renagine Pepito and Kiriko.

It was a celebrity-filled night for PGT season 3 as different showbiz personalities came to grace the Finale. Among those who performed includes PGT Season 2 Grand Winner Marcelito Pomoy, Jed Madela, Christian Bautista, Vina Morales, Gary Valenciano, Paolo Valenciano, Jhong Hilario and Ryan Bang.

Maasinhon Trio is declared Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 Grand Winner on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the Ynares Stadium in Antipolo City, besting 11 other contestants in the 2011 PGT Grand Finals showdown.MAASINHON TRIO

Maasinhon Trio, from Maasin City in Southern Leyte, won the P2 million grand prize. They sang Basil Valdez’s “Nais Ko” during the PGT Grand Finals on Saturday. The Maasinhon Trio are the oldest contestants among the Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 finalists.

In contrast with previous PGT Grand Finals, the second and third placer were not anymore announced by the judges.

Bringas brothers of Davao del Sur and Khalil Joseph Ramos from Paranaque City were given P100,000 as runner-up.

The other PGT finalists received P50,000 each.
