LeBron James, two-time, back to back MVP awardee, scored 35 points to take Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Boston Celtics. James big night, doused off all speculations about his ailing elbow. Mo Williams added 20 points, as the Cavaliers rallied back from 11 points down in the second half, to beat the Celtics 101-93. The Cavaliers now leads the series 1-0.
For the second straight year, LeBron James was voted as the NBA Most Valuable Player. LeBron James is the 10th player to join NBA’s elite club of two time MVP winners in consecutive years. He thus, joined Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Moses Malone, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan and Steve Nash. Russell, Chamberlain and Bird are the only NBA players who made a three-peat of winning the MVP.

Chicago Bulls raced to an early lead and hold off a late rally by the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Bulls won game 3 of the 2010 NBA Playoffs First Round against the Cavaliers, 108-106. Derick Rose led the Bulls by scoring 31 points, while Kirk Hinrich added 27 points, capped by a 4 out 4 from the three point range. LeBron James as usual, lead the Cavaliers with 39 points, 8 assists and 10 rebounds.
The Cavaliers had a chance to tie the game and could have sent the game into overtime, but Anthony Parker missed a last second heaved. The Cavaliers still lead the series 2-1. The next game will still be played at the United Center.
