Buted, was awarded as the 2010 National Golden Key – Teacher Excellence Awardee by the Council of Hotel and Restaurant Educators of the Philippines (COHREP).

Fresh from achieving the ISO 9001:2008 certification (after being ISO 9001:2000 certified) from Det Norske Veritas, and the Level III status from the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) for its Nursing, Liberal Arts, Business Administration and Accountancy programs, Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) in Batangas attained the Autonomous Status – the highest and most prestigious recognition that the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) gives to an educational institution.

LPU Engineering Days 2010

The Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Batangas College of Engineering (COE) celebrates its 10th Engineering Days with the theme:  Building a Responsible Community of Globally Competitive Cadet Engineers.  The Engineering Days is a two day activity at the LIMA Campus on Feb 2, and at the Main Campus on Feb 3. The culminating day at the Main Campus will be highlighted by a Cultural Night at the LPU Dodjie Laurel Gymnasium which will feature:

  • Mr and Ms Engineering Executive 2010 with a Fashion Show and Casual Interview
  • Ms Gay Earth 2010 with a Fashion Show and Sports Wear Competition

Lyceans top Nursing, PT board exams

507 NEW LPU NURSESLyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) in Batangas City once again proved that a provincial school is already taking the lead, besting even the biggest universities in the country.

In the November 2009 Nursing Licensure Examination, LPU’s Bryan Noel C. Asis (Cum Laude) emerged as topnotcher – second placer – among the 37,527 passers (out of 94,462 takers). Asis obtained a rating of 87.60%, too close with the first placer’s 87.80%. Meanwhile, another Lycean in the person of Robert C. Rena (Cum Laude) garnered the eight highest place, with a rating of 85.80%. LPU produced 507 new nurses in the said board exam, with a promising passing percentage far above the national passing rate.

In the January 2010 Physical Therapy Board Exam, on the other hand, LPU’s Mary Grace G. Lantin also proved that Lyceans take the lead in PT education as she bagged the sixth place as topnotcher.

Indeed, Lyceum of the Philippines University is a certified home of board topnotchers.

MARY GRACE AGRAVANTE LANTINThe Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Batangas would like to extend its warmest congratulations to Mary Grace G. Lantin, for being one of the topnotchers in the recent Physical Therapy Licensure Examination.  Mary Grace, placed sixth, by garnering a rating of 80.55%.

The LPU Community is truly proud of Mary Grace’s achievement.  Congratulations also to the College of Allied Medical Professions headed by its Dean Dr. Anacleta Valdez.
