John 3: 16 Bible verse trending in Google Trends

Sunday, January 16th, 2011 | MISCELLANEOUS with No Comments »

It got my attention that the Bible verse, John 3: 16, is in the Google Trends. Why John 3: 16? And what is John 3: 16 all about?

Having so many questions about the trending of John 3: 16, I come up with the idea of looking for its content. And maybe look for John 3: 16‘s original context as many Bible versions have already translated it into different languages.

Here is the different versions of the full verse of John 3: 16 based on the different Bible translations:

  • For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.(King James)
  • For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (New Living Translation)
(SBL Greek New Testament)
  • For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.(New American Standard)
