Suspension of classes are still being enforced for Friday, August 10, 2012 in several areas within Metro Manila and nearby provinces, especially in the northern Luzon, Philippines.

The class suspensions were brought about by flood in some areas. A lot of classrooms were also being used as evacuation centers.

Some schools, colleges and universities has already declared that classes will resume on Monday, August 13.

Below are some of the areas and schools that were declared to have no classes tomorrow. The following list is displayed in alphabetical order.

  • Quezon City
  • Rodriguez, Rizal

  • Malabon
  • Mandaluyong
  • Manila (public only)
  • San Mateo, Rizal (public only)
  • Tanay, Rizal
  • Valenzuela


  • Adamson University (until August 11)
  • Arellano University (preschool to high school only; college level only suspended in Mandaluyong and Malabon branches)
  • Assumption College (all levels)
  • Ateneo de Manila, AGS, AHS, LS, ASMPH, AGSB, and ASOG (Ateneo Law School will resume classes on August 10)
  • Centro Escolar University (all campuses)
  • Colegio de San Juan de Letran (until August 11)
  • Claret School
  • De La Salle University, Taft, Makati Extension, and Ortigas Extension (classes will resume on August 13)
  • Far Eastern University – Manila, FEU East Asia College, Makati, Cavite, Diliman
  • FEATI University (university day)
  • Harvester’s Mission International School
