Boxing promoter Bob Arum made arrangements to let Manny Pacquiao watch the 2012 NBA playoffs Game 7 between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat on Saturday, June 9 (Sunday in Manila) before facing Timothy Bradley at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pacquiao, who is a player and avid fan of basketball, is reportedly a Celtics fan.

According to Arum, “We will not begin the Pacquiao –Bradley main event fight until the Celtics and the Heat finish their playoff game.” The boxing promoter added that delaying the Pacquiao versus Bradley bout will enable “Manny, the Heat, the Celtics, and sports fans watching the basketball game won’t have to make a choice between events.”

Arum clarified that the undercard fights will push through as earlier scheduled.
