Amazon launched its latest web technology, the Amazon Silk browser, on September 28, 2011. The new web browser is reportedly powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Amazon Silk browser will only be available on its latest released tablet, the Kindle Fire.

The Amazon Silk goes beyond the limitations of the typical browser by utilizing the capabilities and interactivity of your mobile device and the immense computing power, memory, and network connectivity of the cloud.
