Malacañang has declared November 2 as a regular working dayPresident Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III took a stand of not declaring November 2, 2010 a holiday. President Aquino explained that he is taking into consideration the daily-wage workers who will be affected if another holiday will be declared. These daily earners will not be paid on a holiday.

The Department of Education (DepEd) announced last Saturday that classes will resume on November 2, 2010, in all levels of public schools both in elementary and high schools. DepEd added that the resumption of classes on November 2 is in accordance to DepEd Order 26 (series of) 2010 dated March 8, 2010. The DepEd Order states that “mid-year break is from Oct 25-29″, this clearly explains why classes in public schools will resume on Nov 2.
