Miss America Alexandria Mills is the winner of Miss World 2010. The 18 year old newly graduate from Kentucky took home the crown by besting more than a hundred other candidates around the world. The other candidates who made it to the top five are: Miss China, Miss Botswana, Miss Ireland, and Miss Venezuela.
The two-hour Miss World 2010 pageant was held in Hainan, China and was shown live on television. The TV broadcast was witnessed by about one billion viewers around the world.
Miss Botswanna Emma Wareus, won 1st runner-up, while Adriana Vasini from Venezuela, took home the 2nd runner-up.
The new Miss World 2010 Alexandria Mills was crowned by outgoing Miss World 2009 Kaiane Aldorino of Gibraltar. Mills was guided to her diamond-shaped throne that symbolizes the 60th anniversary of the prestigious beauty pageant.
The Miss World 2010 judged by former pageant winners, which includes Miss World 1953 Denise Perrier Lanfranchi, Miss World 1964 Ann Sidney, Miss World 1977 Mary Stävin, Miss World 2001 Agbani Darego, and Miss World 2004 Maria Julia Mantilla.
