Team USA won over Angola, 121-66, to advance to the next round of the 2010 FIBA World Championship. The NBA led Team USA raced to an early 22-7 lead and never looked back to win their Round-of-16 game versus Angola in the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Istandbul, Turkey.
Chauncey Billups led the USA team with booming triples as he connected on four three point shots in the first half of the game. It was a good defensive and offensive game for the Americans as they took a 65-38 halftime lead. The Angolans had several exciting plays of their own as they executed plays that resulted in easy dunks and three point shots. The third quarter ended with the Americans leading comfortably 91-56. Billups led Team USA with 19 points and Rudy Gay added 17 points.
Team USA shot 18 of 38 shots from the three point range. Coach Mike Krzyzewski shuffled his players very well to keep everyone fresh. This strategy helped them put a suffocating full court pressing defense throughout the game against the Angolan team.
