The Los Angeles Lakers showed the heart of a true NBA Champions as they beat the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, 83-79.  The Lakers, thus, have now won the NBA Championship two years in a row.

Kobe Bryant led the Lakers in scoring 23 points on a poor shooting night.  It was however, Ron Artest who provided the early needed offense and defense as the Boston Celtics tried to pull away early in the first quarter.  Artest had 20 points and 5 steals as he helped the Lakers cut down the early lead of the Celtics.

Kobe Bryant was named MVP of the Finals.

The Celtics played without injured starting center Kendrick Perkins.

Congratulations to the LA Lakers.
