The Boston Celtics tweaked their game and it paid off when they pulled off a runaway victory over the LA Lakers, 103-94. The Celtics has now tied the best of seven NBA Finals against the Lakers at 1-game apiece.
Rajon Rondo displayed the form he has during the Celtics early playoffs successess. Rondo achieved his second triple-double in the playoffs when he finished with 19 points, 10 assists, 12 rebounds and two steals. The first half however, belongs to Ray Allen as he scored 27 points and ended up with a game high 32 points. Allen set an NBA Finals record for most 3-pointers in a game by going 8-for-11 from rainbow territory.
The Celtics win has now given them the homecourt over the Lakers. They now have the chance to close out the series at home with the next three games to be played in Boston.
The injured Andrew Bynum scored 21 points, grabbed six rebounds and blocked seven shots. Pau Gasol led the Lakers with 25 points, eight rebounds and six blocks. Bryant was held to 21 points on 8-for-20 field goal shooting.
