Kobe Bryant dished out 13 assists that help the Los Angeles Lakers to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the 2010 NBA Western finals and offset the resiliency of the rejuvenated Phoenix Suns.

Bryant turned into a star playmaker by handing out the ball more to his teammates this time and negated Steve Nash’s 15 assists.  The Lakers superstar scored 21 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.  Pau Gasol led the Lakers in scoring 29 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and handing out 5 assists.

Jason Richardson led the Suns by scoring 27 points.  Amare Stoudemire added 18 points  for the Suns.  The Suns were hounded by costly turnovers throughtout the game as they turned the ball over 17 times.

The next two games will now shift to Phoenix.
