In a surprise turn of events, Tiger Woods has withdrawn from The Players Championship due to a neck injury.

Tiger Woods started to grimaced in pain after taking his first shot on the seventh hole. He quit the game and shake hands with playing partner Jason Bohn after taking his second shot.  The last time Tiger Woods withdrew from a tournament was in the 2006 Nissan Open in Riviera because of flu.

Woods played the final round of The Players Championship 10 shots off  lead.  This is Tiger’s third tournament since coming back from a five month leave due to his involvement in a sex sc*nd*l. Tiger tied for fourth at the Masters but missed the cut in his second tournament at Quail Hollow.
