According to Google:
PageRank reflects our view of the importance of web pages by considering more than 500 million variables and 2 billion terms. Pages that we believe are important pages receive a higher PageRank and are more likely to appear at the top of the search results.
I believe that most sites gained a lot from the recent PageRank Update by Google. Well, am glad that my PageRank(PR) is not anymore 0/10 but 2/10. But honestly, I still don’t know what this PageRank value will bring to my site. As of this time, I would rather accept the idea of other known bloggers that PR is just there for bragging rights. Hehehe. I must admit though, that one of my goal this year, other than getting 10 times the traffic I accumulated from last year, is to get a higher PR rank. Based on the first quarter statistics I have, I already surpassed all my goals for the entire year. Last year, I only have around 10,639 visitors(from Sept 15-Dec 31, 2009). In the first quarter(Jan-Mar) of this year, I was able to get 20 times more visitors and it’s not even slowing down.
With this achievements, I am adjusting my goal for this year to a higher level. Since I am already getting a consistent traffic to my site, I am focusing now on increasing my earnings. My goal by the third quarter of this year is to earn at least $3.35 per day or at least $100 a month from Adsense. How do I plan to achieve this? Well, by doing some research on high paying keywords, SEO and more guerilla blogging activities.
