If you need an alternative to the very expensive Adobe Photoshop, I recommend that you get the free download of GIMP(GNU Image Manipulation Program) from the GIMP Website.

This software is absolutely free and offers a lot of features that rivals Adobe Photoshop. If you are using Ubuntu as your operating system, it comes pre-installed or can be downloaded directly from the operating system updates.

How to install GIMP

  1. Go to GIMP Website.
  2. Click Download.

    GIMP 2.6.8

  4. Click Save File.
  5. Run the file gimp-2.6.8-i686-setup.exe.
  6. Click Run
  7. Click Next.

  8. Click Next.

  9. Click Intall now.

  10. Click Finish.

You’re Done!  You can now run and use GIMP.
