FBI Director Robert Mueller admitted that hackers did not only stole valuable intellectual property but also corrupted these data. This corruption, thus, lead to a compromised security.
The FBI raised concern over the continued spear-phishing attacks on the United States. An example of which, is the Google admission that it had been hacked and resulted to the threat of a pullout of its business from China, being the presumed source of attack.
Security experts believed that corruption made by hackers resulted to alteration of the source code. Hackers might have placed a back-door or logic bombs in order for them to have free random access to avoid being detected.
