Everything seems to be a duplicate of game 2 of the 2010 KFC PBA Philippine Cup Finals. Alaska Aces led the early part of the game by 13 points with the score pegged at 55-42. But the abundance of heroes on the Purefoods Giants save the game for them. Niño Canaleta played the heroes role this time by shooting 2/3 treys when it mattered most. The result? The Giants won game 3 with a houdini act, 79-78 over the Aces.
The Aces denied Willie Miller for a last second shot by setting up a good defense against the former MVP. Canaleta was adjudged best player of the game with 8pts, 2/3FG, 1reb, 1asst.
No team has overcome a 0-3 deficit to win a seven-game series. With history on their side, the Giants will try to sweep the Aces in their next game. Game 4 will be on 7pm Tuesday, Mar 2, 2010 at the Big Dome. The MVP of the conference will also be awarded before game 4.
