The fourth game of the KFC PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinal match between Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters and Ginebra Gin Kings turned sour when the former walked out of the game.
The Tropang Texters team is leading the best-of-five series, 2-1, walked out when Ranidel de Ocampo was called for flagrant foul two and was automatically ejected from the game, that led to the walkout. The flagrant foul was called against de Ocampo when he tried to block the shot of Ronald Tubid. De Ocampo’s elbow hit the face of Tubid in the process. The score was pegged at 27-20, in favor of the Gin Kings when the walkout happened.
This is the first walkout in the Philippine Basketball Association in more or less 20 years. The last walkout was made by Ginebra, when they are playing against Shell. Senator Robert Jaworski was the coach of Ginebra during that time.
A fine will definitely be slapped against Talk ‘N Text.

What the Talk & Text did was so unfair…. they are so emotional.
what is unfair is the officiating… it is always like that in a any game where ginebra is involve… it always gets favored 90-95% over other teams. Look at the games history … which team is always involve in a controversy? It is high time that the officials should take a look at this. The aggrieved party should not be punished. Rather the validity of their complaint should be seriously considered if the league would want decency and integrity in the league.

I agree. No matter how bad the call is, they should have protested in a different and more sportsmanlike way.
officiating in the PBA has been very inconsistent. I personally don't like watching PBA games because the result of the game usually is not anymore credible

if remember right, the game of air 21/ burger king vs san miguel de ocampo hit the three as shown in a replay, but refs counted it only as two and the game went to over time and smb won……. sister teams.
i think it's about time for Ginebra and the rest of teh San Miguel group to leave the PBA for good. Favoritism for this group has ruined the league. It's about time teams like the great Talk n Text, the superb Alaska, the most gallant Sta Lucia the reign supreme in this league. It will be better to have the PBA be run by just this four teams
I don't agree with the walk out because it robs the fans who wanted to watch the games. But if you look deeper into the situation when calls are biased and the games are fixed it also robs the fans of the game. It's the same banana.
If this is the case of the PBA, leaning towards several teams. Let's watch na lang WWF parehas naman na sila. The PBA is destroying the beauty of the game. Hwag naman sana.
i dont like Ginebra but Talk and Text was a sure loser of what they did.
They have already the signs that Games 1-3 has poor officiating, but they did not FILE a Formal complaint way back then.

I think wat talk&text did is just a alibi to their poor execution of play, alam ni chot reyes na mahihirapan sila manalo not because of the ref but alam nya na nasa ginebra ang momentum to win. chot reyes used to be a player he has to know na ang basketball na hindi lahat ng tawag ng ref ay tama at naayon sa kagustuhan nila tao lang ang ref nagkakamali. there's a profer forum for the protest hindi naayon sa rules yung ginawa ng talk&text sinayang nila ang gastos ng mga tao na pumunta dun para panoorin sila inisip lang nila ang sarili nila. chot reyes should punish on this he has to know that basketball is a game of pride and also being GENTLEMEN…. gusto nya pinapairal nya ang pride kaya nga tayo di nakapasok sa FIBA dahil sa kalokohan nya masyado sya mareklamo samantalang nasa atin ang momentum on that situation…. Mr. Barrios please give this Mr. Reyes a punishment to will teach him on how to be a better coach….

dapat itrain pa ng mabuti ng pba ang officiating body nila dahil marami ang pumupuna sa kanilang mga tawag lalo na kapag nagkagitgitan na ang laro natataranta na ang mga ref kaya nagkakaroon na ng mga maling tawag yun ang dahilan kaya nagkakainitan ang mga player ng bawat team … the bottom line is apektado ang image ng ating pba marami kaya ang nanonood na mga foriegner ng pba natin
kahit naman sa NBA nangyayari din yun…eh kung may Favoritism lang naman sa PBA eh di sana BGK lang ang pinapalakas nila….at BGK lang ang puro STAR player…dahil sa milyon milyong fans ng BGK….no doubt ganun dapat ang gawain pag may favoritism….I think MVP plans to ruin the PBA…….
