I have been using a laptop for my office works and personal needs in the last 14 years in two different companies.  During this period, I came across several brands of laptop including Fujitsu, Toshiba, Acer, HP, Dell, Lenovo, Sony, Neo and Asus.  The top five brands usually recommended based on user experience and reviews are: 1. Toshiba, 2. Fujitsu, 3. Lenovo, 4. Asus 5. Dell.

Recommended Laptop Based on Performance:

  1. Toshiba
  2. Fujitsu
  3. Lenovo

Recommended Laptop Based on Entertainment Capabilites:

  1. Sony
  2. Lenovo
  3. Dell

Cheaper Laptop Brands:

  1. Neo
  2. Acer
  3. Asus

The above list are also my own personal experience.  I would like to emphasize that laptops easily fail due to misuse and abuse of users.  Some of the reasons of laptop failure includes:

  • hardware malfunction
  • dropping of unit, spillage and other accidental damages
  • tripping of cords that cause
  • overheat and dust

A research was conducted and released recently by warranty firm SquareTrade on the failure rate for 30,000 laptops comparing brands and hardware categories–and the results has been very surprising.  The full result of the research can be found at the SquareTrade Website to serve as a guide for consumers who are planning to buy laptop.

Expensive laptops are durable. It’s just the same with buying cheap laptops, cheap laptops are prone to damage, and you have to spend on its repair.

I’m not sure why but this web site is loading incredibly slow for me. Is anyone else having this problem or is it a problem on my end? I’ll
check back later on and see if the problem still exists.
